Five more golds from cycling, lifting, taekwando keep team on course

The State contingent continued to strike gold at the National Games underway in Punjab adding five more golds on day six of the games.
The cycling team scooped up one more gold as top cyclist Ch Rameshori Devi came out raced others in the 50 km Massed Start event here.
She timed 1 hour 38.00.02 sees.
The men's Team Trial was won by Services.
In taekwondo, Manipur got off to an excellent start scooping two gold medals.
One silver and one bronze were also added to the medals tally.
Taekwondo is underway at the Academy of Martial Arts in Anandapur Sahib.
The gold medal winners are M Somorendro (men's) and Sunila (women's).
As expected, Manipur got off to an impressive start in weight lifting winning two gold medals at Patiala Ring Hall.
State boxers have assured themselves at least six medals in boxing when six of its boxers stormed into the last four in various weight categories in the event.
Making it to the semi final stage are, M Baby Chanu (Fin Weight), L Shushila Devi (Light fly Weight), Kh Chitrabal Devi (Fly Weight), N Asharani (Bantam Weight), W Sandhyarani Devi (Feather Weight) and LD Rebecca Chiru (Light Weight).
In women's football Manipur suffered a minor set back when they were held to a goalless draw by Bihar in a Pool B match played at Jalandhar.
Bihar and Manipur both played their hearts out but without success as the match ended in a goalless draw.
Manipur had beaten Kerala 3-0 in their previous match.
They will take on Maharashtra on November 26.At the moment Manipur is leading the pool with 4 points.
The poor run of the women's hockey team continued as they went down by 2-5 to host Punjab at the PAU Hockey Stadium at Ludhiana.
